Documentary Film Invitation

This retreat is a wonderful opportunity for sharing enlightenment with the world. We decided to bring the camera and create a full length documentary film about the lived experience and the powerful healing effects of Ayahuasca. This research and inquiry is the culmination of my master’s degree in Mind-body Medicine and will be included in my doctoral research in  Mind-Body Medicine at Saybrook University. Please contact me if you're interested in sharing your story in this documentary film.

How does Ayahuasca work?

Dr. Gabor Maté, M.D., discusses how ayahuasca offers addicts insight into self-destructive behaviors

"As a physician, I have learned much from working with this plant. The plant, is no panacea but is an opening to human possibility, even in the face of lifelong trauma and desperation, it offers much. Seeing people open to themselves has been a teaching and an inspiration." -The Jungle Prescription is the tale of two doctors helping their patients to reveal their deepest self.

Self Love....Come to Peru!

What is Ayahuasca?

Ayahuasca (Banisteriopsis caapi) is a vine of the jungle, which grows in the entire Amazonia, from Columbia to Peru, Bolivia, Brasil and Guyana. It is known to and respected by all indigenous peoples as a healing plant or master “teacher plant” and represents the basis of their traditional medicines. Ayahuasca is boiled together with the leaves of a shrub called “Chacruna” (Psychotria viridis), giving a brew or sacred drink of psychoactive character that is consumed in a ritual ceremony leading to reflection and cleansing. This brew, named also Ayahuasca, has been used for more than 5,000 years by the shamans of the Amazon as a way to reach amplified states of consciousness. The psychoactive effects of Ayahuasca can be attributed to Dimethyltryptamine (DMT), a substance that is produced by our own body and is responsible for our nocturnal dreams. According to the healers, Chacruna is in charge of “painting the visions” whereas the Ayahuasca plant is the one teaching beyond those visions. AYAHUASCA – La medicina del alma (Ayahuasca – The medicine of the soul)  Ayahuasca is an ancient medicine offering access to deeper states of consciousness allowing the individual to make deep soulful changes.

Who is Ayahuasca for?

Ayahuasca sessions are recommended for those of you who want to experience and achieve personal or spiritual growth. In your sacred ceremony you will be given many keys to unlock many aspects of yourself.  Ayahuasca ceremonies are recommended for anyone who is ready to do the soulwork and to take responsibility for his or her own life. Ayahuasca is for everyone. It's for those who are in optimal health who are ready for the evolution of their body, mind, soul & spirit. An Ayahuasca ceremony makes it possible to experience deep inner healing on the deepest levels of your mind, body, soul and spirit. As a plant teacher Ayahuasca gives insights about how to heal your life, release trauma, pain, stress, and to feel and express love and so much more. This process of inner journeying allows you to resolve fears, and develop a different view on yourself and your situation. The result? You approach life in a different way. Your issues or negative thoughts become less present, or even disappear.
